Re the price problem: you’re correct both parties are to blame. The Republicans under Trump with the tariffs, the unchecked deficit spending, and just idiocy like buying less than a day’s supply of diesel. The only thing worse is the Democrats with unsupportable spending increases, ruinous tax policies, and increasing government control of the economy. Re Ukraine, Iran and Russia: Trump just wants a win, any win. There’s no strategy—he’s tactical. We need strategists as presidents. And in Congress while we’re at it. Re Guilfoyle: a poster child of the politicians today. Self centered, egotistically privileged, and incapable of leadership, vision, and doing the hard work of protecting the republic and upholding the constitution.
Great point Leah- I’m struggling to vote at all. I won’t vote DNC - disgusted by racism - Evan Obama campaigning for Sayed speaks volumes on how far down Democratic Party politics have tanked.
As for Trump tipping the scale to Putin, now Musk turning off starlink I cannot vote for this Republican Party which has seriously lost its way- I don’t recognize my party.
I teased Leland about his summertime fantasy of a thirds party- however I think independence to be an independent may be the way forward since I am ever committed to staying engaged.
