Editor’s note✏️: Welcome to a very abbreviated edition of War Notes!
We can do better‼️: Last night showed how truly awful our politics is — most members of Congress are essentially empty vessels for a solid blue or red vote.
Darline Graham seems like a perfectly nice lady — she clearly has ZERO business being a U.S. senator.
She admitted having no idea about national security — props for honesty
Angie Nixon seems like a dreadful and miserable human being, also with zero business being a U.S. senator
Tonight📺: Former Pennsylvania Congressman Charlie Dent
Summer of Revolt😡
✏️“Fifty-three percent of self-identified conservatives under 40 support government-run grocery stores. Not Democrats, conservatives. Take that in,” writes a Wall Street Journal piece
📰You really should read the piece — it is written by 23-year-old Emil Barr
It lays out how young Americans feel the system is rigged — or do they just not understand how hard life is?
The contradictions‼️: People hate data centers that are government-approved — Axios reports Republicans say data centers are so unpopular they might lose an Ohio Senate seat over it.
And YouTube is filled with videos of people shooting Flock cameras, which the government puts up to keep us “safe”
The government promises it won’t abuse the technology, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
The contradictions in America’s political system require us to step way back.
America is in revolt
Revolt against the elites, government, big business and each other
Too easy🤷: We could say this is the socialist summer — a socialist just won in Florida’s Senate primary — but that simplifies a bigger problem
MAGA is revolting too against Trump and the new Republican establishment —
Two of Trump’s endorsees for Florida congressional seats lost
At every turn, Americans feel something is fundamentally unfair or wrong.
The government (any government) will never voluntarily give up power — the power must be taken back.
That is the struggle we are seeing — who has the power?! Who can be trusted with power? Who has abused our trust? Who can solve our problems?
Us, the citizens — a traditionally conservative view
The government — the traditionally socialist view
The elites of business and technology
More contradictions‼️: It is easier than ever to do exceptionally well in America and harder and harder to live a middle-class life.
Watch tonight📺: NewsNation’s Batya Ungar-Sargon and Chris Cillizza
Plus, Emil Barr, Steve Cortes and Corbin Trent
Rock Bottom and Digging
📺Senator Jon Ossoff is getting exactly what he wanted — attention…lots of it.
His not-so-veiled insinuation that Trump is having an affair with his executive assistant is bouncing around American politics like a pinball
Axios headlines “Ossoff tests Democrats’ appetite for going low”
There is the reaction from the White House, then the reaction to the reaction, plus the new media obsession with Natalie Harp
It all misses the much bigger point
You can’t out-Trump Trump.
Every Democrat who’s tried to win by going low, ends up face-planting….
Even Alexander Vindman, a hero of the resistance in Impeachment 1, lost last night in Florida to a no-name socialist
What we want‼️: The political middle of America desperately wants a Reagan, Obama or Kennedy figure who appeals to the best of America, not the worst.
Tonight📺: Democratic strategist Madeline Summerville joins me on whether any Democrat will appeal to our higher calling.

Tucker is why JD Vance can never win. JD is tied to him and Tucker is an anchor bringing him dowwwwwwn....along w anyone standing next to him. What a total freak.
