❗One of my VERY smart friends told me today that it was tough to find “facts” ahead of the midterms — yes, that’s because there are almost ZERO facts to be had.
Fact ✅: Trump is going to Mississippi and South Carolina — that’s not a good sign
Fact✅: Abdul El-Sayed’s buddy Cenk Uygur just released an ad blaming Israel (the Jews) for high prices — not good for getting Jewish voters to support you
Compare the (lack of) outrage over this to the disgusting Vivek Ramaswamy ad
Fact✅: There is something in the early voting numbers for everyone
Fact✅: The party out of power almost ALWAYS loses in the midterms
We could go on for pages
Sound smart🧠: Republicans are playing defense to have momentum. Democrats are playing offense but face new headwinds.
Sound smarter: I don’t know what’s going to happen — there are vibes and feelings, but it’s very difficult to predict a true outcome — just ask Mark Halperin
FWIW‼️: It’s important to be honest about what we know and what we don’t — the expanding map bodes far better for Democrats than Republicans, but a polling error of 3-5 points would change the map dramatically.
Things look better for Democrats in the House than in the Senate.

Shared Values‼️
🤦There are few politicians right now trying to appeal to Middle America.
New Gallup polling shows three-quarters of Americans can name at least one value they believe is shared by most people
38% of Americans say freedom is a shared value
32% say patriotism is a shared value
30% say service
And yet politicians have absolutely no interest in talking about them
A poll from Maryland says that “respondents estimated that federally elected officials make the same decisions that the majority of Americans would make just 35% of the time.”
The current Congress is on track to be one of the least productive in 40 years.
Instead, a PAC released an ad in support of Abdul El-Sayed blaming Israel for high grocery prices.

I have to tell you if I was unsettled before, I am more unsettled now.
The American people are the last to know and once again we are voting not based on hope, but the lesser of two evils. Both parties offer nothing to address our concerns and the list continues to grow. I am proud to have voted early and have been encouraged by the early huge turnout, but where does our responsibility end and the responsibility of the people who we elect begins. To them I say,
It's about the overall well being of the country and it's people, not the party.
