We are in very uncertain times. Trump has stalled, the Iran conflict will be long in the resolving, making prices high. The economic outlook is not rosy, and the far left and far right have locked horns, creating Congressional log jam. Voters don't have good candidates to pick from, so the future seems more uncertain than ever. And then the Flock cameras, allowing "big brother" behavior. Sounds like good conversation tonight! See you then!
Leah, you are spot on again. Trump threatening Oman is just another one of his out-of-left field statements. Iran clearly has the upper hand now. They can just wait this out. Vance is out of his mind about the dollar not being the benchmark currency. We can only pray that a ln adult like Rubio gets the nomination.
We have to stop crying and just realize that Interest rates and prices aren't coming down. In 1960 when I bought my first house. I paid $10,750. with payments of $89. per month, taxes and Insurance included. I don't recall the interest rate but by 1970 I remember paying 7% and in all the years thereafter interest rates were going up especially after the Govt. repealed the 'gold standard'. I built a house at an 18% construction rate and the 'take out' loan was 16% during all these years the cost of living was going up as was the cost of everything else. It is a fact of life folks. My experience of some 80 years plus has been that almost everything goes up about 100% every 10 years. Why? We want higher salaries, we want better insurance, we want bigger retirement accounts, we want longer vacations, we want parental paid leaves. Our wants keep increasing and it all costs money. Can we cut back, I don't think so. When mortgages came down to 3% Banks could only pay 1% or less on deposits, why, because when you are making 3% the cost of operation simply does not make it possible to pay more to investors. There is 'no free lunch'. The only way to bring prices down would be for corporations and businesses to take less profit and that isn't going to happen. We need to face reality and understand everything has to balance. We make / get less we pay less. We get more / we pay more. Salaries and benefits are the drivers in our economy.
Neither Trump or any other president can change that. That is how our economy works. It is almost impossible to back up.
Something has gotta give! This is awful and I'm so tired if Trump stalling on this Iranian war....get it over with already,. Bomb that Island you always mention and Gen Teichert talks about and bring the Regime to its knees! And these Flock cameras....not a good idea at all. There's always some people that are going to misuse what's put on front of them....even the police! Good show tonight, Leland. I love when you have the 2 Way Trio on. Always insightful! See you tonight ❤️
