My guess is that Economic pressure to change the mullahs has as much chance as succeeding as a snowball in hell. My guess a way to walk away from the War and say not giving up but reorienting fight. Of course, my guess we'll walk away from this too and as IIRC as Leland predicted in beginning no matter what happens Trump will declare victory and want to know who won if Regime still in control at the end they've won and we haven't. I recall Obama crowing about the "crippling" sanctions he was imposing on Iran. I guess they weren't so crippling after all. Sanctions only work if the other party has some sense of decency or morality. That's what happened in S . Africa and Rhodesia. Sactions against the Nazis would be a waste of paper and ink. Whatever Trump is planning for his economic atomic bomb will have ZERO affect on the IRGC. And my bet is this threat will be as impotent as his countless times he has threat to send Iran back to the stone age. Time for a grown-up like Rubio in the Oval Office.
