Truth bombs💣: “There isn’t a trillion dollars of Elon’s money that could fix how Trump treated people who are struggling and lined his own pockets instead”— a Texas GOP political consultant texted me this morning.
What I am thinking💭: If only a consultant or politician would have said that BEFORE the election.
‼️CEO of Atlas Intel polling company NAILED the final result:
Andrei Roman: “The 2026 midterms were about punishing Trump. They were not about how much U.S. voters like the Democrats or their policies. The party that is smarter about what to do with this conclusion will win the 2028 presidential election.”
Historic Defeat and Opportunity ‼️
🗳️Republicans got a midterm beatdown of historic, epic, dare I say biblical proportions — they might lose Mississippi.
📺Let’s look at how the partisan media covers it.
Karoline Leavitt on Fox: “Unfortunately, I think the American people forgot about the good policy, maybe listened to the lying media on the other side”
Katy Tur on MS NOW: “It’s a revolt against Donald Trump. Not just his policies, but himself. The cruelty, the chaos, the casual indifference to the needs of everyday people... this may be the end of the Trump era; it may be the end. This might be over tonight.”
Let me tell you the truth!
We told you last week, politics is about making people’s lives better.
It isn’t hard — Trump got elected to lower prices, keep us out of wars — neither happened and he got RICH…very rich.
People are angry — just like they were in 2024 when they elected him and just like they will be if Democrats don’t live up to their promises.
Reaction🔙: Look back to past presidents’ reaction to midterm defeats:
Bill Clinton, 1994: “We are ready to work together to serve all the American people in a nonpartisan manner...with the Democrats in control of both the White House and the Congress we were held accountable yesterday and I accept my share of the responsibility”
George Bush, 2006: “It was a thumping but nevertheless the people expect us to work together...I do understand where the people uh the heart of the people I understand they’re frustrated I am too.”
Obama, 2010: “Yesterday’s vote confirmed what I’ve heard from folks all across America: People are frustrated — they’re deeply frustrated — with the pace of our economic recovery...it underscores for me that I’ve got to do a better job”
Trump, today: “If I were on the ballot, we would have won. You saw the people that were packed, thousands and thousands of people at every rally. And if I was on the ballot we would have won. But they just, you couldn’t transfer that love.”
AH👀: Which one is unlike the others?!?!
The opportunity‼️: Trump can now be like Bill Clinton
In 1994, he faced a wicked backlash — won reelection in a landslide and left office as one of history’s most popular presidents
He did it by doing what Trump says he does best — making deals that make the American people’s lives better.

What the numbers reveal🔢: As we’ve been telling you for weeks leading up to the midterms, the polls were wrong — it’s true, they were wrong… just not in the way anyone saw coming.
It wasn’t Republicans who were being underrepresented — it was Democrats, independents and Republicans who were on the fence that were underestimated.
Tonight📺: Pollster Frank Luntz on what this means for all the polling on Trump, the economy, corruption AND 2028.
Great for America👍: Last night we watched history unfold —
Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Black woman elected governor.
Michigan elected Abdul El-Sayed, making him the first Muslim senator.
Deb Haaland became New Mexico’s first Native American governor.
The first openly gay male senator was elected.
California elected Xavier Becerra — the first Latino governor in that state
Florida and Wisconsin elected their first Black governors.
Ohio, Tennessee and Minnesota all elected their first female governors.
South Carolina elected its first woman to the Senate — Annie Andrews.
I have long been told America is racist, islamophobic and homophobic…hopefully we can stop now.
The 2026 Mandate‼️
🤝The Democrats 2026 mandate is to make America work for the people again — and work together as a country.
And for Democrats to succeed over the next two years, they need to find that.
James Talarico laid it out pretty well last night — “We can’t defeat the politics of division with more division. We can’t win that game. We have to change the game.”
Now we watch to see if they live up to it.
Missing the point🤦: The first thing Robert Garcia, who is set to become Oversight chair, tweeted yesterday as election results came in was — “Lawyer up”
Rep. Analilia Mejia posted today: “We’re going to toss out subpoenas like Mardi Gras beads.”
There’s this coming Democratic civil war:
Is it more important to impeach Trump or lower grocery prices?
Is it more important to investigate Howard Lutnick’s sons or is it more important to pass a bill to end stock corruption?
Hakeem Jeffries today said “the American people don’t want us to get even, they want us to get things done on their behalf. Because life is way too expensive. We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it’s our job to govern on affordability.”
Look back🔙: Republicans completely misread the mandate in 2024 —
Misread owning the libs
Misread ICE — people don’t want ICE agents fighting with people in their cities.
Misread Americas affordability crisis
Tonight📺: Evan Barker, Mike Nellis and Dan Turrentine on whether Democrats should walk or chew gum — and no they can’t do both.
New Senator from Palestine⚠️
⚠️We warned you months ago who Abdul El-Sayed really is, and last night he proved us right.
Vance’s Blame Game
‼️Two of the four things JD Vance blamed for the GOP’s midterm losses were Jews.
Vance: “1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel…But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.”
Notable: He didn’t say anything about one of the top issues for voters — corruption.
Instead, it’s the Jews’ fault.
This is clearly a guy who is watching his 2028 presidential hopes blow up in his face and has now chosen a lane.
Tonight📺: NewsNation’s Batya Ungar-Sargon, who’s been very outspoken about Vance, joins me tonight.

Looking forward to the show tonight! You really are doing a stellar job keeping us informed. Looking forward to your updates throughout Trump's remaining term. It will be interesting for sure, hope Trump has an epiphany about the Dems, and leads the GOP into working with them for the Good of American People 🇺🇸
You’ve laid everything out very well. Look forward to tonight’s show. On one level it’ll be interesting to watch the Democrat leadership absorbing some of the newly elected senators and representatives. It’ll be equally interesting to watch how the Republican leadership moves forward philosophically.
