Only citizens should be allowed to vote. Forcing people to prove citizenship is ludicrous especially with limited methods of proof permitted in Sav Act. Should really be a piece of cake. Not advertised too much but an American citizen who comes to a border entry without passport etc can usually be let in in a few minutes. At border-they'll take you to a side room and talk to you and almost always within 10 minutes they can verify who you are and that you're a citizen and let you win. CBP doesn't like it-takes more time-wo proof. Thats why phony of Sav Act government clealy has easy ways of verifying citizenship
It always makes me smile... and not in a good way... when Democrats start talking about voting rights.
After the stunt they pulled with Biden, then handing the nomination to Kamala Harris without giving Democratic voters another choice, and now with the Plattner situation, I don't think they have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to elections.
If you're going to talk about protecting democracy and voter choice, maybe you should start by giving your own voters one.
President Trump needs to stop talking about the election from years ago. Most people don't want to keep hearing those old arguments.
If he wants to make the case for election integrity, there are plenty of current examples he could point to and discuss.
Focusing on what's happening today is far more likely to persuade people than continuing to revisit the past.
Leland ... really pleased that I have become a subscriber! The daily "personalized" video from you is excellent as well as the daily email with notes on the various topics you'll be covering.
Relative to Iran ... Monday morning QB'ing is always easier than making decisions in the moment. But, to me there are 3 items the President has either miss-judged or just plain errored since this began in February. One, at the outset of the conflict/war apparently no one thought thru the possibility that the Strait might be a problem. Between the US and Israel, it seems like it would have been easier to get control over this had some type of action been taken at the outset, when there was still the element of surprise. Two, obviously clear that the 2+ months of negotiating, cease fires, memorandums of understanding, etc. were a waste of time. Major error, the pressure needed to be severe to bring leadership to its knees. Three, regarding your assessment that the President is concerned that continuing the war is something he can't afford politically. If he is truly a patriot, doing the right thing is more important than approval ratings and mid-terms. Qualifier, there is probably no elected official in DC that is willing to sacrifice and election in order to do the right thing.
Lucky, you are spot on about Trump wasting political capital on rehashing the 2020 election. He is also wasting time on doing what needs to be done, and that is finishing off Iran. All this nonsense about 20% tolls for ships going through the strait just amplifies his vacillation. Unfortunately, he just can't stay on script. It works great on The Apprentice, but it doesn't work to the fellow worrying about buying hamburger.
The 20% toll idea was idiotic. US was constantly making the point that the Strait is International Waters and should be open to all and Trump off the top of his head states 20%% undercutting standard US positions.
I will not support any candidate that wants to take away my right to vote by mail.
I agree that whatever Trump claims as new evidence will be suspect. In Arizona, state party leadership got rid of a number of good conservative Republicans who refused to try to overturn the 2020 election without evidence of the claimed voter fraud.
Trump raised several $100 million after the 2020 election to investigate, find and prove his claimed 14 million fraudulent votes. Of course they came up with nothing.
Surely with a third of a billion population, we can solve the problems inherent with mail-in voting: proof of eligibility, ballot chain-of-custody, tamper-proofing, and timeliness. When I was a college freshman I voted absentee by mail, but it felt fake. In my state we don’t have vote by mail except for absentee, but we know the results within hours of poll closing — a clear benefit. We have paper ballots to ensure recount integrity if we need it, but our electronic counting is such that we never have a controversy.
1. My state (Alabama) requires picture ID and has as far back as I can remember and if don't have id you will still be allowed to still vote but it will be a provisional ballot and likely not be verified unless a close vote.
2. I am a fan of flock due I have seen in press countless times a serious bad guy murderer, bank robber, stolen child, etc caught due to use of it. So if I get monitored caused I went to the Dollar General or a beer store by big brother, then I'm Ok with it.
If America needs saving, Trump must clearly and succinctly articulate the problem. He must be fair and objective, and not prattle on about his own election history. His past speeches and posts show his bias, destroying credibility in the eyes of Democrats. The reality is voting reform is going nowhere without their help and he can’t simply ram his ideas down their collective throat. He must also stop the denigrating and disrespectful name calling, which has grown very old.
Summarized another way, he can’t get reform passed alone. His motives may be correct, but his style corrupts the substance, particularly in the eyes of those he needs for help.
Trump needs to let go of his allegations of elec fraud in 2020! Even if the election was stolen from him, there's no use re-living it day in and day out. It's in the past. He needs to focus on the now and the future!. Looking forward to your show, Leland, as always ♥️
Some good news, some bad news. Looking forward to your show tonight!
I have no problem with only citizens being allowed to vote.
And, I think it should be a government responsibility to automatically provide every citizen with a proof of citizenship.

Inflation is down is good news. The bad part of that news is that costs are significantly higher now than they were when Trump took office.
Looking forward to another jam packed show. Your show is always great !

Leland lost a job because he refused to state in 2020 that election was stolen. The network that attacks mainstream media wouldn't let truth be told.
The next 2 years are going to get increasingly ugly.
My 2 items of thoughts on War Notes tonight.

I know and I didn't say the election was stolen.....I said "even if it was", Trump needs to move on!
