THANK YOU to all our new subscribers — this is our Sunday “Things I Tell My Friends” email…literally what I was talking with my friends about this weekend.
Yesterday Rachel and I took team On Balance out on the Hudson for a day of good cheer — we ended with Lady Liberty looking down on us. As we passed Ellis Island I thought of my grandmother and great grandparents passing Lady Liberty and thru that island with the promise of the American dream — only in America can their grandson return on a boat standing on the shoulders of their fight for a better life.
America is exceptional, imperfect and worth fighting for.
