  • This puts around seven million barrels of daily oil exports at risk

• The Bab el-Mamdeb Strait is now under the control of Yemen’s Houthis — and they’ve banned all Saudi-flagged ships from going through

  • This threatens about 9 million barrels of daily oil supply

• The Strait of Hormuz is operating now at around 20% of its pre-war capacity

  • This cuts off around 15 million barrels of oil per day.

• Big picture‼️: The world uses around 100 million barrels of oil every day —

  • And over 30 million barrels a day are now at risk or completely shut down.

• Bill’s “Confronting America” is an unapologetic endorsement of traditional values America — those values are on the ballot.

🤷The wrong side is winning in America right now, all because the right side has the wrong messengers.

• Texas is probably going to go blue — not because the Democrats’ ideas are so much better, but for two reasons:

1. How bad a candidate the GOP selected in Ken Paxton

2. Things are overall going badly for Republicans.

• We are at this time in American history where Americans are upset — and rightfully so

  • Republicans are promising more of the same

  • And Democrats are saying they are going to fix it with socialism.

    • 91% of Texas Democrats say they will support their party’s candidate

    • And 79% of Republicans say they will support Paxton.

Flip side🔃: In Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed and Democrats are fighting about what it means to be a Democrat

• El-Sayed is just trying to brush off Hasan Piker as just some casual, not important Twitch streamer

AI Armageddon🚨

⚠️All the AI bros this weekend said we need to “slow the pace” with artificial intelligence after Anthropic researchers warn AI can kill off all of humanity by 2030.

• Uh huh — you guys can slow down whenever you want

• Let’s put financial penalties on these companies when their “models” are used to hurt people or commit crimes, etc.

  • The AI companies know what people are putting in the prompts — how about holding them responsible

• Do that, and their boards will demand things slow down

  • The other view from David Sacks:

    • “So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it.”

    • “If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.”

👀When watching about AI, remember the bros have a vested interest in overstating, scaring all of us to extract major concessions for their “slowing down.”

• The reason we have a government is to protect us from stuff like this — but, by no surprise, our members of Congress aren’t
