A Red and Blue America 🔴🔵
If you think America is divided now — just wait.
‼️President Trump appears willing to endure more pain on Iran than most thought — especially the Iranians.
Today3️⃣: Three things happened that should give all those who care about Iran’s defeat real faith
1️⃣The Jerusalem Post reports the Iranians are bracing for widespread protests
🗣️This tracks with Trump’s comments to Axios
Trump: “The blockade is somewhat more effective than the bombing. They are choking like a stuffed pig. And it is going to be worse for them. They can’t have a nuclear weapon.”
What I am thinking💭: Points for a dramatic visual, but who wants to see a pig choke — I digress.
2️⃣Secretary Pete Hegseth lambasted John Garamendi for calling the war a quagmire
Hegseth: “The way you stain the troops, when you tell them, two months in, two months in, congressman, you should know better. Shame on you. Calling this a quagmire two months in…Statements like that are reckless to our troops. Don’t say I support the troops on one hand and then a two month mission is a quagmire. That is false...who are you cheering for here?”
3️⃣Trump rejected Iran’s offer to open the Strait of Hormuz and table nuclear talks
Moment‼️: Mass protests would force the Iranians to choose between slaughtering their own people in the streets and making a meaningful deal.
Prediction🤔: They will choose slaughtering their own people
Hand forced👀: What will Europe and others do?
🫵Perhaps blame America for a blockade that is motivating the protests?
🫵Perhaps blame the protesters for their own slaughter
😬Things will get very uncomfortable for those who claim to care about human rights, etc.
Watch tonight📺: Congressman Adam Smith, D-Wash. and Michael Singh from The Washington Institute on whether Trump might actually win the Iran war after all.

👀Have you seen ASPCA ads on TV begging for donations? Here’s what you need to know:
❌Despite its name, the ASPCA is not affiliated with the local SPCA in your community.
🤏The ASPCA gives less than four percent of its budget to shelters via financial grants.
🤑The ASPCA pays its CEO $1.2 million in compensation.
💸The ASPCA is sitting on $466 million in investments.
😢Local shelters need help. Support them instead.

‼️The assassination attempt this weekend gave Republicans an unprecedented opportunity to force a needed conversation on the Democrats’ Hitler rhetoric.
Swing and miss🤦: Instead, the White House focused on four things in three days that nobody cares about
The White House ballroom
Indicting former FBI Director James Comey for a second time
Putting a picture of Trump on the U.S. passport
Trying to get Jimmy Kimmel fired
DC‼️: As my radio friend Lars Larson pointed out today — Washington can only focus on one thing.
Pro tip: When they are focusing on something that helps you — DON’T change the subject!
Note✏️: We aren’t passing judgment on any of the above policy choices — that’s for you to do.
🤦Giving Democrats and the media reasons to attack Trump and talk about anything other than the assassination attempt is malpractice.
Reality🤷: All of these things do nothing to make Americans’ lives better — and it hands Democrats, the media and independents even more reasons not to like him
Perplexing🤔: Last night, Trump supporter Jack Posobiec found the ballroom pivot political malpractice.
🚨Now, it’s getting worse.
Watch tonight📺: Mollie Hemingway, the editor-in-chief of The Federalist, on why the White House can’t get out of its own way.
Red vs. Blue America 🔴🔵
‼️If you think America is divided now, just wait till after nuclear redistricting and the 2030 census.
✏️Republicans today called for red state legislatures to immediately redraw more maps and give Republicans safer seats.
What’s happening📅: Today’s Supreme Court decision that racism is bad upends the “redistricting” map.
🧑⚖️SCOTUS ruled a Louisiana congressional district designed to be more than 50% black is racist.
Read more📰: Our buddy and guest tonight, Chris Cillizza, has a far, far better write-up on the ruling than we could ever do
Jeff Zeleny on CNN: “I’m thinking back right now to 13 years ago when Congressman John Lewis was standing in his office watching as the first pillar of the Voting Rights Act was struck down…He said he was sad and dismayed about that. Now, of course, this is sort of a full circle.”
Look forward▶️: Some Republicans now predict perpetual majorities if their side “correctly” redraws red-state congressional maps.
You🫵: “War Notes” always roots for America
😬Although the ruling is correct, it will set off a chain reaction that is TERRIBLE for America
‼️Red and blue states will disenfranchise voters of the nonmajority party
⚠️Primary elections will increasingly decide outcomes and reward the more extreme ends of each party
🚨Compromise in D.C. is now often suicidal, and now, it will be guaranteed
🐘As populations shift in the 2030 census, Republicans will gain more seats
🫏If Democrats take over in 2028, there will be all the more reason to eliminate the filibuster
Whiplash 🌀: Now, Democrats are against gerrymandering — remember last week, they were for it during the Virginia special election
Zoom out👀: As Hakeem Jeffries complained today — we are witnessing a rapid undoing of the left’s favorite programs.
Jeffries: “Now, we’re at a point, where affirmative action is GONE. Diversity is GONE. Equity gone. Inclusion gone. Racial tolerance gone. Voting Rights Act, LARGELY GONE!”
⚖️As the Supreme Court pointed out — most if not all of those programs allowed and encouraged racism — now America is becoming more fair.
